OKU Kos, Greece

Filed in Greece, Hotel  /  June 28, 2019 /

7 days before our trip to OKU Kos (former: Casa Cook Kos) started, my mum and I figured out that we weren’t going to Rhodes (as we thought the last 6 months since we booked our vacation).

Instead we were flying to Kos.

Kos is another beautiful Greek Island… less known as Rhodes.

At first I was a bit disappointed to be honest.

There was a confusion with the booking.

Instead of Casa Cook Rhodes we booked our stay at Casa Cook Kos.

For 6 months I thought our summer vacation will be in Rhodes.

But was it really that bad?

Not at all.

Casa Cook Kos (now: OKU Kos) turned out to be absolutely stunning (!!)

I already shared a cinematic video on Youtube about our stay:

So here is a little more about this beautifully designed lifestyle resort on Kos Island.

Let’s start off with the location.

It takes you about 15 minutes from Kos International “Hippocrates” Airport to get there.

It’s located on the north coast of Kos close to the seaside town of Marmari.

After a very friendly and warm welcoming and a cold drink we sat down on a big cosy outdoor couch next to plenty of hammocks, watching the shadows ot the palm trees around us moving slowly from the sea breeze.

Several chairs, a long wooden table, a chimney and a tall shelf with handcrafted goods in the reception makes it look like a living room.

As an interior lover you’ll definitely have a blast!

Annabell Kutucu and Michael Schickinger (design studio Lambs and Lions) put so much love into detail and the harmony of the colours, the fabrics, the textures…. brilliant work.

Breakfast

On the next morning we enjoyed the buffet breakfast with fresh fruit and the modern cuisine (a lot of vegan options to choose from as well) while sitting on the terrace overlooking the dunes and the beach.

The boutique beach resort has 100 rooms.

We booked a suit with private pool.

It was gorgeous!

The spa and gym is just a footstep away from the public pool. You can either relax in one of the comfy deck chairs or enjoy a cold drink at the bar. Either way you will definitely meet some of the friendly staff members. Their smiles, openness and cheerfulness made me feel very welcome and I am very happy that I made some new friends in Casa Cook Kos.

The laid-back spirit, the boho atmosphere and the calm music from the bar is quite catchy. It doesn’t take long until you are in total relaxation.

By the way, Casa Cook Kos is an adult only hotel. You can escape from your daily routine and get lost in your thoughts, read a book in silence or listen to your favourite podcast or audiobook without getting disturbed.

We didn’t leave the hotel during our 7 day stay a single time (apart from the long walks along the beach). Even though we planned on doing some things, we enjoyed staying in the hotel so much that we didn’t feel like seeing anything else.

The stylish and laid-back environment with its Mediterranean surrounding will offer you the chance to unwind.

This lifestyle resort is the perfect beach hideaway to relax.

And for those who already have their next (creative) project in mind,

you might get inspired by the beauty of this place.

They serve healthy, locally inspired dishes for lunch and dinner (and all the time in between) in their indoor and outdoor restaurant.

Farm-to-table is another highlight. A lot of the vegetables and fruit gets picked on their own Casa Cook farm. You can taste how fresh and juicy the meals are.

Seriously, we couldn’t ask for more.

We met amazing people, were just a footstep away from the most beautiful beach, stayed in a great room with our own pool and the food was delish!

No wish remains open.

After all I was very happy we were in Casa Cook Kos. I think everything happens for a reason. It might not make sense now, but at the right time it will.

And who knows, we’ll probably get to see another Casa Cook Hotel in the future.

If you’d like to see more of this beautiful spot on earth you can watch my cinematic video on Youtube.

I hope you enjoyed this post.
