Hôtel Martinez Cannes (My Happy Place on the French Riviera)

Did I just fly to Cannes again because I couldn’t stay away from Hôtel Martinez? …Yes. Yes, I did. 🫶
And honestly? I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

This was my third stay at this dreamy hotel, and somehow, every time I walk through those iconic doors, it feels like coming home. That kind of home where the coffee magically tastes better, the mornings are slower, and the world feels… softer.

Anyway…… let me tell you why I’m obsessed. 🥰

A Love Story With La Croisette 

You know that moment when you’re driving along the French Riviera, palm trees swaying, the sea sparkling, and suddenly… there it is. That stunning white Art Deco façade, perched right on the iconic Boulevard de la Croisette.

It’s one of those hotels you don’t just stay at. You feel it.
It’s history, glamour, sunshine, and a little bit of that carefree hedonism Cannes does so well. ✨

Oh, and if you’re wondering… yes, the Cannes Film Festival magic is real. And yes, you’ll absolutely catch yourself low-key imagining you’re walking the red carpet at least once.

Inside the Icon 

Golden afternoon light spilling through tall windows, the soft hum of conversations, marble floors that somehow make you want to walk slower just to feel the moment… and me, pretending (not very subtly) that I actually live here.

The design is everything I love: classic Art Deco elegance with a modern twist. Chic but not intimidating, sophisticated but never cold. It’s like the hotel knows you’re here to enjoy yourself and gently whispers, “Relax… you belong here.”

And Le Sud (their gorgeous lobby bar and restaurant) has officially become my ritual. Morning café crème? Always. Lazy golden hour spritz with a view? Don’t even ask. It’s a non-negotiable.

Rooms That Make You Breathe Deeper

Okay, confession time: I’ve stayed in a lot of beautiful hotel rooms… but the ones here? Different.

They’re light, airy, and serene… like the sea breeze snuck in and decided to stay. Neutral tones, soft textures, and these little details that make you whisper, “Omg, this is luxury.”

And the view… oh, the view. Waking up to the palms of La Croisette or endless slices of glittering Mediterranean blue? Unreal. I may or may not have spent an embarrassing amount of time in my robe, sipping coffee by the window, pretending Cannes was mine.

Tell me I’m not the only one who does that… hehe.

For the Foodies (Hi, It’s Me) 🍴

Hôtel Martinez is also home to La Palme d’Or, their Michelin-starred restaurant, and wow… just wow. Chef Jean Imbert has this magical way of turning fine dining into a moment without making it feel stiff or pretentious. It’s elegant, yes, but also joyful and full of flavour.

And if you’re in the mood for something lighter, Le Sud has my heart. Mediterranean-inspired dishes, vibrant colours, and that salty sea air mixing with the scent of fresh herbs… bliss.

Why We Keep Coming Back

Here’s the thing. Hôtel Martinez isn’t just a hotel. It’s a mood. A feeling. A little pocket of Riviera magic where everything slows down and somehow feels bigger at the same time.

It’s where history meets modern elegance and where every little detail makes you feel seen, spoiled, and… at home.

I always leave with a camera roll full of golden sunsets and quiet mornings. But more than that, I leave with this deep, lingering feeling. The kind you can’t capture, no matter how many photos you take.
