Behind the Scenes at 7132 Silver Restaurant

Filed in Restaurant, Switzerland  /  October 19, 2024 /

Sometimes, the most memorable experiences happen before the first course is ever served.

During our stay at 7132 Hotel in Vals, we were invited for a little peek behind the doors of their two-Michelin-starred restaurant, 7132 Silver.

And what a night that was. ✨

Inside the Kitchen

We stepped into the kitchen just before service,
the calm before the beautiful chaos.

Soft atmosphere , quiet focus,
and the warm welcome of Head Chef Marcel Koolen and his incredible team.

There’s something magnetic about a Michelin-star kitchen.

Everything moves with intention.

Every plate is art,
and every detail matters, from the sauce being whisked to the sparkle in the glasses.

And yes… the Champagne was flowing. 🍾

We clinked glasses with the team,
talked about flavours, local ingredients, and creativity
and it reminded me how much passion hides behind the elegance of fine dining.

A Taste of Silver

We didn’t have dinner that night (that story deserves its own evening 😉),
but we got a taste (quite literally) of what makes 7132 Silver so special.

Caviar, delicate rolls of herbs and flowers, and bubbles from Louis Roederer.

Each bite felt like a whisper of what the full menu must be:
pure, refined, quietly brilliant.

The Feeling I Took Home

What I loved most wasn’t just the food.

It was the energy in that kitchen.

The joy, the teamwork, the artistry.

You could feel that this wasn’t just a restaurant.

It was a place where creativity lives.

And honestly?

It made me fall in love with the art of hospitality all over again. 🤍
