Mandarin Oriental Miami

Miami Moments.

I flew from Zurich to Miami, about 10 hours in the air, and as always, I slept almost the whole flight.
But the moment we landed, that Florida warmth hit, and suddenly I was fully awake.

Crossing over to Brickell Key felt like stepping into a different rhythm. The city skyline behind, calm water ahead, and there it was… Mandarin Oriental, Miami.

This would be “home” for the next five days.

Peaceful. Elegant. With that quiet confidence I love.

The Suite

I stayed in the Junior Bay View Suite and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Floor-to-ceiling windows. A private balcony overlooking Biscayne Bay.

The room felt like my own little world.

Morning coffee with the sound of waves below and the city slowly waking up.

Spa & Pampering

The spa was everything you’d expect from Mandarin Oriental… and maybe a little more.
Soft music. Calming scents. That signature “MO hush” that instantly slows your heartbeat.

I had a oil massage, followed by a romantic bubble bath with rose petals and city views.
The skyline sparkled outside the window while the world stood still inside.

Evenings at MO Bar + Lounge

Now, I’m usually not much of a nightlife person.
But one evening, I decided to stop by the MO Bar + Lounge… and I’m so glad I did.

Live music, soft lighting, and the most breathtaking skyline views over the bay.
I ordered a cocktail and it came beautifully made, topped with my own photo (!!)
Yes, really. I’d never seen anything like that before!

And something funny… at first, I wasn’t used to how easily Americans start conversations.
Back in Europe, people (including myself 🤭) keep more to themselves.

But that night? I ended up chatting with so many interesting people from all over the world.
By the end of the evening, I totally understood why everyone says MO Bar + Lounge is the go-to spot in Miami.

Dinner at La Mar

One evening I dined at La Mar by Gastón Acurio, right by the water.
It was one of those meals you remember.

Bold flavours, colourful plates, and that warm Miami breeze.
Ceviche, anticuchos, a sunset that turned the bay golden… perfection.

Brickell Key & Surroundings

What I loved most about Brickell Key is its duality.
A calm island bubble just a bridge away from the buzz of downtown Miami.

Morning walks by the water, palm trees swaying, the city glittering in the distance.
It’s the kind of place where you feel both close to everything and peacefully far away.

This stay reminded me that luxury can be soft. Doesn’t need to be loud or flashy.
It’s in the way the team smiles when they greet you.
The calm after a massage.
The laughter over a perfectly mixed cocktail.

Five days at MO Miami were a dream….
and they made it feel like home, just with a lot more sunshine in February. ☀️
