There are some places that simply take your breath away the moment you arrive.
For me, Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach in Sunny Isles, Florida, was one of them.
It’s ranked #1 hotel and #1 resort in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report (2024) and continues to earn top honours. It also holds years of Five Star ratings from Forbes Travel Guide and the AAA Five Diamond Award… and after experiencing it myself, I completely understand why.

I stayed in a One-Bedroom Ocean View Suite, and it was honestly one of the biggest suites I’ve ever seen.
So spacious, bright, and elegant! It felt more like a private apartment than a hotel room. I had my own kitchen, a large living room, and a marble bathroom that looked straight out of a magazine.
The ocean view from my balcony was magical. Waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying breakfast with the sea stretching endlessly ahead of me… that’s a moment I’ll never forget. ☀️
Upon arrival, I was greeted with the sweetest surprise… a selection of colourful macarons and a cheese plate waiting in my suite.
Every detail was perfection.
The golden accents in the décor to the fresh flowers and soft lighting.
It felt personal, like a true home by the sea, but with the grace of a world-class resort.

The Acqualina Spa by ESPA is a peaceful oasis.
Honored with Forbes Five Stars and USA Today’s Best Hotel Spa in the U.S.
I got a 80-minute back massage, and it was absolute heaven.
The world-class 20,000 sq. spa is beautifully designed. Dim lights, calming scents, and soft music that makes you instantly relax. After my treatment, I spent some time in the relaxation lounge by the glowing salt wall, sipping herbal tea and feeling completely at peace.
Every moment felt curated with care.

Acqualina has six stunning pools, each with its own atmosphere.
From quiet corners perfect for reading to sun-soaked spots by the ocean, it’s a paradise for anyone who loves to unwind outdoors.
The iconic red umbrellas and loungers add such a chic, signature touch… everything feels timeless yet vibrant.

In the evening, I dined at Ke-uH Acqualina, a modern Japanese restaurant with a lively yet elegant atmosphere.
I loved the energy, the service, and the beautiful presentation of every dish. The menu combines Japanese flavours with a Mediterranean twist.
Fresh sushi, delicate sauces, and a touch of creativity in every bite.
There’s also Il Mulino New York, the resort’s Italian restaurant, which looked so romantic and authentic. I’ve already promised myself to return just for dinner there next time.

The next morning, I had breakfast on my balcony, watching the waves shimmer in the morning light. Fresh fruit, smoked salmon, and a hot cappuccino.
Everything was beautifully presented.
There was something so peaceful about starting the day like that… just me, the sea breeze, and the sound of the waves below. ☀️

My time at Acqualina was everything I dream of when I travel.
Elegance, warmth, and serenity.
Everything about the resort feels like it was designed to make guests feel special.
From the staff’s genuine kindness to the views that make you pause and smile.
It’s easy to see why Acqualina is ranked the best hotel in America.
I came for the ocean view, but I left with a full heart. Can’t wait to come back one day.🌺
