The Prince Park Tower Tokyo

Filed in Hotel, Tokyo  /  September 28, 2024 /

There are some hotel views you simply don’t get tired of.

For me, this was one of them.

I stayed at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo in September 2024, in a Panoramic King Room on the Tokyo Tower side.

And honestly, the view was the reason I had chosen the hotel in the first place.

A room with Tokyo Tower

The Panoramic King Room is 38 sqm and sits on the Panoramic Floors between the 19th and 28th floors. The rooms are designed around the views, with large windows and balconies overlooking Tokyo.

But knowing that beforehand is one thing.

Opening the curtains in the morning and seeing Tokyo Tower right there was something else.

It almost felt a little surreal.

The room itself was spacious and calm, with warm wood tones, a large bed, a little work area and a generous bathroom with both a bathtub and separate shower.

But, of course, I spent most of my time looking out of the window.

During the day, the tower stood bright orange against the Tokyo skyline.

And after sunset, it became something completely different.

I loved watching it light up while Tokyo slowly turned into a sea of lights.

Right in the heart of Tokyo

One of the things I really liked about this hotel is its location.

The Prince Park Tower sits right beside Shiba Park, in Minato, with Tokyo Tower and Zojoji Temple practically on your doorstep.

And there is something quite special about that combination.

One minute you are surrounded by skyscrapers and the energy of Tokyo.

The next, you are walking through greenery towards a centuries-old temple.

Shiba Park itself dates back to 1873 and is one of Japan’s oldest parks.

I loved that little contrast.

Modern Tokyo on one side.

Old Tokyo on the other.

Breakfast with a view

One of my favourite moments was breakfast in the room.

I ordered everything I love and had breakfast right by the window, with Tokyo Tower as the backdrop.

Fresh fruit.

Coffee.

Juice.

A proper breakfast spread.

And that view.

I could have stayed there for hours.

My thoughts

Being surrounded by Tokyo, while still having this little green pocket of calm around you…

And then having Tokyo Tower right outside your window!

The hotel also has an impressive range of facilities, including a natural hot spring, pool, fitness centre and even a bowling salon. There are also numerous restaurants and bars, including Sky Bar & Dining Stellar Garden on the 33rd floor.

But for me, it always came back to that view.

I still remember waking up, opening the curtains and seeing Tokyo Tower standing there.

And honestly, that was truly special!
